Commercial & Public Spaces
The Two
Boutique entrance concept
H: 1.8 m | bronze
Sculpture by Oleksandra Ruban
[Spatial Intent]
To create an elegant vertical accent that emphasises the symmetry of the classical façade and organises the entrance space, transforming it into a distinctive piece of public art.
[Design Logic]
Through its verticality and refined symmetry, the sculpture guides the eye to the entrance. The tactile character of bronze is revealed through its interplay with the cool surface of the stone. Standing nearly two metres tall, the object attracts attention while maintaining a welcoming human scale at the threshold between interior and exterior.
Defender
Business complex passage concept
H: 2.65 m | fibreglass, metal
Sculpture by Andriy Lypovka

[Spatial Intent]
To create a strong visual anchor that interrupts the monotonous rhythm of the colonnades and establishes a prominent landmark within the elongated transitional space.
[Design Logic]
The sculpture asserts itself as a powerful visual anchor, its dark silhouette sharply defined against the pale stone backdrop. The restrained geometry of the form, articulated through the horizontal line of the back and the sharp sculptural expression of the horns, creates a dynamic dialogue with the rhythmic verticality of the colonnade. Its scale allows it to engage confidently with the monumentality of the architecture, while the archetypal figure of the guardian introduces an aura of strength and protection. In doing so, it transforms a space of passage into a place of symbolic resonance and memorable identity.
The Wind
Public square concept
H: 4 m | bronze
Sculpture by Oleksandra Ruban
[Spatial Intent]
To create a monumental landmark in an open urban space, establishing a dynamic focal point that visually organises pedestrian flows and activates the square.
[Design Logic]
Its scale allows the sculpture to hold the expansive plaza without being lost against the surrounding façades. Its flowing, swift form, embodying the movement of wind, creates a vivid organic contrast with the rigid geometry of the surrounding buildings, while the substantial bronze gives the object a sense of stability and weight.
Modulor Series
Adaptive spatial concept
H: 2.65 m | fibreglass, metal
Sculpture by Andriy Lypovka
Photos by Aboodi Vesakaran (Orange), Pixasquare (Magenta), Marina Zvada (Black)
[Spatial Intent]
To offer a flexible system capable of engaging with diverse architectural typologies through a consistent sculptural form and a variable colour palette.
[Design Logic]
The sculpture’s elongated open form functions as a universal spatial module. Changes in colour transform its relationship with the surrounding environment: black establishes a rigorous graphic silhouette suited to monumental architecture, while orange or purple works as a bold pop-art accent against restrained, monochromatic façades. This adaptability allows the sculpture to be tailored to the unique character of each project.
Formula of Growth
Public promenade concept
H: 2.5 m | bronze
Sculpture by Oleksandra Ruban
[Spatial Intent]
To create a monumental vertical landmark on an open terrace that establishes a point of focus within the space and strengthens the relationship between the architecture and the open horizon.
[Design Logic]
The sculpture’s biomorphic, wave-like form acts as a sculptural accent against the precise geometry of the glass façade. Through its polished surface, the object actively responds to changing light conditions, acquiring warm tones at sunset and transforming the way it is perceived throughout the day. The sculpture’s monumental vertical presence introduces rhythm into the open space while maintaining a human scale and creating an atmosphere of calm.
River
Public green space concept
H: 0.85 m | fibreglass, metal
Sculpture by Andriy Lypovka
[Spatial Intent]
To create a horizontal spatial anchor that introduces a sense of fluidity to the contemporary architecture while establishing a connection between the park landscape and the building’s rigorous geometry.
[Design Logic]
The sculpture's fluid form serves as a dynamic counterpoint to the orthogonal grid of the glass façade. Positioned close to the ground, the object neither competes with nor obscures the architecture; instead, it establishes a new horizontal rhythm at the human scale. Reflecting the sky and the greenery of the lawn, its metallic surface animates the sculpture, transforming it into a silver artery that seamlessly integrates into the surrounding environment.
Private Residences
Adam and Eve
Contemporary villa interior concept
H: 1.8 m | bronze
Sculpture by Viktor Lypovka
[Spatial Intent]
To create a strong vertical element that structures the space and complements the bright minimalist character of the interior.
[Design Logic]
The composition extends the geometry of the room through the elongated silhouette of the dual-figure sculpture. The dark bronze creates a striking contrast with the light walls and serves as a clear visual anchor within the interior. Placed beside a source of natural side light, the sculpture allows light to gently shape the volume of the figures and emphasise the composition’s central golden element.
The Penetration
Private residence living room concept
H: 0.8 m | bronze
Sculpture by Oleksandra Ruban
[Spatial Intent]
To create an elegant sculptural accent that completes the interior composition and adds a sense of softness and inner depth to the space.
[Design Logic]
The sculpture’s vertical silhouette balances the horizontal extension of the furniture and establishes a strong point of focus within the interior. The warm tone of the bronze supports the natural material palette and reveals the richness of their textures. The tensioned strings introduce a sense of transparency and lightness to the solid bronze form, allowing the object to be perceived as both monumental and delicate.
The Lioness
Courtyard concept
H: 0.5 m | bronze
Sculpture by Yuriy Ruban
[Spatial Intent]
To create an intimate centre of gravity within an enclosed courtyard, infusing the minimalist landscape setting with an atmosphere of visual stillness and deep calm.
[Design Logic]
The sculpture’s fluid, horizontally extended form balances the rhythmic geometry of the textured wall and introduces a slower, more contemplative pace to the perception of the space. The smooth bronze surface emphasises the material presence of the object, while its low placement creates a feeling of natural integration within the environment. Rather than becoming the sole focus of the space, the sculpture subtly reshapes its perception, bringing a sense of cohesion, stillness, and concentration to the environment.
Pomegranate
Hall concept
H: 0.5 m | bronze
Sculpture by Viktor Lypovka
[Spatial Intent]
To create a compositional focal point that reinforces the architectural character of the staircase and visually anchors the light-filled, multi-level entrance hall.
[Design Logic]
The sculpture’s organic form follows the flowing movement of the architectural lines, extending the geometry of the spiral staircase. The polished bronze surface reflects light and the surrounding colours, allowing the object’s appearance to change with shifting illumination and different viewing angles. The pedestal reinforces the sculpture’s role as a spatial landmark, organising the entrance area and strengthening the relationship between art and architecture.
Marina
Private residence living room concept
H: 1.5 m | bronze
Sculpture by Viktor Lypovka
[Spatial Intent]
To create an elegant spatial axis that adds sculptural depth to the interior and establishes an emotional centre within the light-filled living room.
[Design Logic]
The sculpture’s smooth, inclined silhouette introduces a subtle tension between the clear rhythm of the walls and the geometry of the furniture. The refined green patina stands out against the light surfaces and supports the interior’s warm material palette, echoing the artwork and the natural tones of the wood. Scaled in relation to the human body, the object naturally finds its place within the living area, bringing a sense of quiet presence and a distinct collectible quality to the space.
The Panther
Courtyard concept
H: 1.4 m | bronze
Sculpture by Yuriy Ruban
[Spatial Intent]
To create a distinctive vertical accent within the landscaped courtyard, establishing a space for contemplation and focused attention within a restrained architectural setting.
[Design Logic]
The sculpture organises the composition of the space around itself, acting as a restrained yet powerful centrepiece. Its monumental monolithic form echoes the vertical rhythm of the trees and balances the soft, organic lines of the surrounding landscape. The deep dark patina, clearly articulated against the light architectural backdrop, reinforces the object’s visual weight.
The concepts presented illustrate my approach to the spatial integration of sculpture, using works by the artists of Lypovka-Ruban Sculptures as examples. My practice is not limited to these artists. For each client project, I develop a tailored curatorial selection of contemporary sculpture, taking into account the architectural context, artistic vision, budget, and technical requirements.
